The chart illustrates the amount of water (km3) used worldwide by Agriculture, Industrial, and domestic fields and the change between 1910 and 2010.
All in all, Not only did Agricultural, industrial and domestic water use witness an increase each decade, but also industrial use did. Agriculture was the biggest use compared to others.
Regarding the Agricultural purpose, it was an incline gradually starting at the beginning of the century until in 1940 from 500 to 580. As well as mid-decade consistently went up dramatically until the end of the period at 3000. Following this, the water use for industrial and domestic areas had the same pattern, before both of them reached at 1500 and 150 each in 2010. Both the water used remained unchanged between 1910 and 1940 at 20 and 10 respectively. However, water used for industrial rose gradually started at 10 to 20 from 1910 to the next decade. After that, either industrial or domestic sectors consumed water more rapidly to over 1500 and 150 in 2010.
