It is clear that the highest number of products was exported by all industries worldwide. By contrast, the number of products exported by industries in the UK was lower over the mentioned period.
The industry providing business and finance, hotels, and restaurants services exported £13.8 billion to the rest of the world (ROW), and only £1.7 billion to the UK. The industry producing chemicals and mineral products exported £9.5 billion to the ROW, and £5 billion to the UK. Another industry exported wholesale and retail products; exports to the ROW totaled £8.2 billion, and exports to the UK totaled £1.1 billion. Another manufacturing industry exported £5.9 billion to the ROW and £1 billion to the UK.
On the other hand, the food and drinks industry exported £5.8 billion to the ROW and £4.4 billion to the UK. The only industry that exported more to the UK than to the ROW was the electrical and instrument industry, with exports of £4 billion and £2.3 billion, respectively. The rest of the industries exported more to the ROW than to the UK.
