In terms of housing, the USA took the lead, constituting more than a quarter.The percentage of money spent on housing in the UK lagged behind at around 24%, followed by Japan and Canada with approximately 22% and 21%, respectively.Turning to the expenditure on transportation, Canada was the country that spent the most money on this field, with 20%, twofold the figure for that in Japan.The USA and the UK stood at the second and third spot, occupying 16% and 15%, correspondingly.The proportion of money spent on food in the USA was around 13%, positioning it in the last place compared to the other nations.The figure for that in Canada was 2% higher than that in the United States whilst the UK and Japan spent the same amount of money, making up 20%.
Moving to the percentage of money allocated to clothing, Canada devoted the most in this field (around 7%), followed by the UK with 6%, Japan at nearly 5%, and finally the US (only 3%).For healthcare, Canada is the most health-conscious country as they spend the most money on this category among for surveyed countries, recording about 4% whilst Japan amounted 2%,the USA and the UK occupied only 1%.
