The bar chart gives information about percentage of most enjoyed activities done by teenagers in Canada.
Overall, the proportion of boys was higher in all activities, except that it was similar to the percentage of girls in the music category. Another noteworthy fact is that while the figures for girl’s activities rose noticeably, except for shopping, which showed the opposite pattern.
Starting at approximately 27% in sports activity, these figures suddenly saw a dramatic increase to above 35% in shopping, despite being dropped in computer games and music activities. Similarly, the percentage of girls who chose music as their favorite activity mirrored that of boys, with both genders showing an equal interest at around 22%.
The most striking gender gap is seen in shopping, where over 35% of boys listed it as a favorite activity, while only 10% of girls did the same. Computer games were also more popular among boys, with 20% choosing them, compared to around 17% of girls.
