In contrast, the distances covered by bicycles, motorbikes, and air travel were much lower in 1990. Among them, motorcycles were the most popular transport traveling about 10 billion kilometers. Aviation tourism had increased significantly by about 10 billion kilometers in 2000 while both the use of bicycles and motorbikes decreased. The total distance of all methods combined from 100 billion kilometers of passengers in 1990 to 112 billion kilometers in 2000.
