The bar graph illustrates data about the proportion of regular exercises performed by males and females, in terms of their age group in Australia in 2010. Overall, active females were much more active in almost all age groups in terms of doing regular activities than males. Interestingly, the percentage of most age groups was almost the same.
Regarding the most active age groups, the percentage of the 55 to 64 years old age group was the most active group, with females being much more active in terms of exercise than males, at 53% compared to 45.1%, respectively. The 45 to 54 age group was the second most active, with males being less active than females, at 43.1% compared to 53.3%, respectively. However, the proportion of the 15 to 24 years old age group showed the opposite trend, with males being more active than females, at 52.8% compared to 47.7%, respectively, and holding the third position.
As for the least active groups, males and females were almost equally active in the 65 and above age group, at around 47%. The 25 to 34 years old age group and the 35 to 44 age group showed a similar pattern, with males engaging in physical activity at approximately 40% and females at approximately 50%.
