The bar graph compares the percentage of Australian male and females doing exercises from 6 different age groups in 2010.
At first glance, it is clear that women are regularly doing more physical activities than male in almost all age groups, except for the youngest one. In addition, male from 15-24 years old were recorded to workout most frequently while that was true for the females from 45 to 54 years old.
Focusing first on the 3 younger groups, there are around 48.9 percent of women from 25-34 years old doing exercises and about 52.5 percent of women from 35-44 did so. Australian male in that two age groups, by contrast, are both lower by roughly 10 percent recorded at 42,2 and 39,5 respectively. On the contrary, the figure shows that 52,8 percent of male in the youngest age groups do workout while that of their counterparts was only 47,7 percent.
Concerning the remaining age groups, the 2 younger groups experienced similar numbers in both genders. While there are roughly above 50% of females in these groups doing exercises, only above 40% of the male did so. It is clear that the percentage of men and women from 65 years old and above doing physical activities were roughly the same recorded at 46,7 and 47,1 respectively.
