The bar chart illustrates the amount of money spend goverment on roads and vehicles in four separate countries in the different years such as 1990,1995,2000,2005.

Overall,It can be seen that the large investition by governments to develop their roads was Portugal,while UK was consistently accounted for the lowest percentage. All countries recorded a witnessing gradual decline.

Portugal reached a peak of over 27 percent in 1990, the highest figure recorded among all countries.Although it is spending declined steadily over the following 15 years,it remained above 15 percent in 2005,still exceeding the other three countries. In contrast, the UK spent the lowest percentage every year,starting at just over 10 percent in 1990 and falling slightly to approximately 7 percent by 2005.

Italy began at around 20 percent in 1990 and followed a minor decrease to roughly 12 percent in the last year. However,Italy’s spending fluctuated more noticeably,while the USA experienced no major change and remains steadily below 15 percent.
