The bar graph compares information about the proportions of New Zealander females and males who involved themselves into physical activity in 2010.
Overall, women surpassed their male counterparts at all ages except 14-23 aged females. Furthermore, the proportion of females aged from 34 to 63 were the most active groups.
The highest percentages for both men and women doing exercises were experienced at 14-23,24-33 and 64 and above ages. 51.7% of men was involved in physical activity when they were 14-23, whereas the figure for women was 46,9%. However, among 24-33 ages females were more active with 49.2%, while men exhibited 43.1%. The least difference between two genders was observed at 64 and above, accounting at 47.2% for men and 48.1% for women.
The highest differences between two gender counterparts were experienced from 34 to 63 ages. At this all ages women stayed always active with 53.1% for 34-43 aged females, 54.2% for 44-52 aged ones and 52.8% for 54 to 63 aged women. Despite exhbiting less figures , the peroportion of men’s activity was higher as ages got older. 38.8% of men was involved in activity when they were 34-43, while 44-53 was higher with 42,9%. 54-63 aged men constituted 44,7% in engagement for sports.
