The bar chart illustrates the proportion of participating in senior development positions in three different companies involving IBM,Apple and Microsoft in six separated periods which are 1980,1985,1990,1995,2000 and 2010
Overall,IBM was the most chosen company for senior positions among the three ,while the opposite was true for Apple.In addition, the most noticeable change was also seen in IBM
According to the bar chart ,in 1980 and 1985,while the proportion of IBM bottomed at nearly two percents,the percentage of men choosing Apple was the higher than the other two,lying at around 17 percents .Surprisingly, by 1990 ,the figure for IBM saw a significant increase,standing at approximately 16 percents as much as that of the figure for Apple and was slightly higher than the figure for Microsoft.
In the next three periods,the proportion of IBM proceeded to increase onwards from 25 percents in 1995 to 70 percents in 2010,three times as much as that of the figure for Apple which is now the lowest.Moreover,Microsoft has also risen to be the second most chosen company for participation in senior developments,reaching at nearly 50 percents.
