The bar graph compares three separate companies regarding the proportion of males in senior development from 1980 to 2010.
As can be seen from the chart, there was an upward trend in the rate of men with Apple witnessing the most dramatic rise. Additionally, the percentage for Apple consistently composed the highest figures in the first three years of the period, while IBM stood the highest figures in the last of the period.
In the first of the period, the proportion of males who worked in Apple accounted for 12%, followed by IBM and Microsoft, at approximately 2% and 7% in 1980. The rate for IBM, Microsoft and Apple were a slight change, at 2%, 10% and 11% respectively. In 1990, men, working in IBM, Microsoft and Apple, were nearly 12% average.
Regarding other years, there was a significant change throughout the period with the proportion of males who are laborers in IBM company when surging that of from 27% to 63%. A similar pattern can be observed in the share for Microsoft, which increased triple between 1995 and 2010. While that males employees works in Apple made up 20%, followed by a slow increase to 25% in 2010.
