Overall, four of the factors that affect employee’s work performance have significant diffenrence in term of percentage between the younger and the older age group, while the remaining six factors have a roughly similar proportion in both age groups.
To start off, the most dramatic diffenrence in the percentages of both age groups is in chance for personal developement with about 90 percent of workers aged 18-30, as opposed to just above 40 percent of those aged 45-60. This similar diffirence also appears in relaxed working environment and promotion prospect. The former accounts for just above 80 percent for 18-30 age group and about 30 percent for 45-50 age group, whereas the latter has approximately 80 percent of the younger age group compared to around 50 percent of older age group.
In contrast, team spirit and work environment have the exact same proportions in both age group with about 60 percent for the former and approximately 30 percent for the latter.
By comparison, a competent boss, respect from colleagues, job satisfaction, and money are the factors that have only a slight difference between 2 age groups, amounting to around 50 percent, 40 percent, 50 percent, and 70 percent, respectly.
