The chart depicts how youngsters opt for transportation for commuting in four distinct countries in one-year research.
At first glance, it can be observed that cars are the most common option among the youthful generation, apart from France, where bicycles are the most popular means of transport for young people to travel.
Looking first at the statistics of France and Italy, the proportion for people choose automobile in Italy is approximately 75%, which is nearly twice of the figure for France, at 40%. In contrast, 45% of French opt for travelling bikes, which is three times higher than that of Italy. Meanwhile, motorcycles are unfamiliar with people in both countries, at 12% in France and 9% in Italy.
Turning to the US’s and UK’s numbers, it can be observed that the rate of people who prefer to travel by car in both countries are the same, at 60%. The percentage of cyclists in the UK is 30%, three times that of the US. However, only 10% of the British prefer riding a motorbike, which is a third of the figure for the Americans.
