Overall, the highest calorie source intaken by different ages’ people are different, such as the youngest one prefer dairy while the elderly eats pulses more than other ingredient. Among all the food in the chart, vegetables are the least poplular calorie source eaten by the UK males.
It can be seen from the chart that among teenagers aging from 0 to 24, diary is the most popular calorie source, at 42%, almost twice as much as meat and vegetables. Different preference is shown in the middle-age UK men, while half of the calorie intake is from meat, following by the diary at 25%. However, the oldest UK males eat more pulses than other food, with the percentage of 65. Meat comes the second while vegetables become the least popular food in old people.
Both diary and vegetables are consumed more by the younger men than the older one. By contrast, pulses are the least popular food in males under age 50, with less than 20% calorie providing, whereas it becomes the most popular food type in the oldest.
