The graph illustrates how many percent of people over 16 by age category used the internet between 2003 and 2006. Overall, internet users in the age group 16-24 used the internet at a considerably higher percentage than older age groups, while the reverse was true for groups older than 65.
Additionally, the result number of internet users in 2006 showed the highest percent in each group apart from the figure for 16-24-year-olds.
In greater detail, adults in the UK, aged 16-24 years old, showed the most internet users throughout the years, exceeding 80%. The value of internet users peaked at 100% in 2005. But after that, it decreased slightly until about 95%. The quantity of network users aged between 25 and 54 rose gradually until 80% each given year. One difference was that the percentage of 25-44-year-olds started from approximately 50%, whereas the number of users aged 45-54 started from 60%.
Furthermore, between 2003 and 2006, there was a noticeable fluctuation in the number of network users in the 55-64 and older than 65 age groups. There was a huge rise in the worth of network consumption by 55-64 aged from about 30% to approximately 50%. The number of users who were older than 65 years stood at under 5% in the initial year, but that percent increased to 20% in 2006.
