Overall, the number of years increased over the period, albeit to varying degrees. Adult males experienced more growth than adult females. The level of achievement University qualification and secondary saw an increase, while the reverse was true for below secondary and diploma and professional qualification. Of particular note is that, despite university was the lowest level at the start, it made the largest increase.
In 2000, adult males started with 9.2 years, at the same time with the adult females with 8.0 years. After two years, the percentage of adult males show a slight growth from 9.2 to 9.5, respectively. Ault females stable unchanged in 2002 before rising to 8.2 in 2004. By 2006, adult males rose dramatically from 9.8 in 2004 to roughly 10.0 in 2006. Finally, in 2010 the percentage of adult male climbed from 10.2 in 2008 to 10.5 during the final period. Similarly, adult females grew considerably from 8.9 in 2008 to 9.1 by the end of the period.
In 2000, Secondary achievement was the dominant chart with 27.7% at the beginning of the period. The second dominant were Diploma and professional qualification followed by Secondary. By contrast, University qualification recorded the lowest share 21.1%, while Below secondary had the second-lowest percentage 23.6%.
By 2010, despite Secondary started at the highest it was overtaken by University qualification. Below secondary dropped from 23.6% in 2000 to 8.6 in 2010. Likewise, Diploma and professional qualification decreased sharply from 27.6% in 2000 to 13.4% in 2010. Secondary experiences a marked increase to 33.9, respectively. University qualification saw a substantial increase from lowest point of 21.1% in 2000 to 44.1% in 2010 and overtook the others to become the largest category.
