Overall, the 18-25 group age dominate in both years, while the 46-60 generally recorded the lowest. Notably, the percentage of unemployed rate increase in all age group in the year 2020. Furthermore, online job websites showed the largest portion, whereas personal connection and emloyment agencies represented the lowest figure in 2020.
Looking at the percentage of unemployed people, the 18-25 age group accounted for the highest value at 12% in 2010 and 14% by 2020. This was followed by the 26-45 age group, which was recorded at 10% in 2010 and surged to 12% after a decade. Finally, the bar chart illustrates the 46-60 age group, which stood at 7% in 2010 and increased by nearly 2% by the end of the period.
Moreover, regarding the methods these unemployed people used to find a job in 2020, online job website recorded the highest share at 44%, followed by “other” category which stood at 25%. And then personal connection and employment agencies each accounted for 21%.
