The bar chart shows the number of adults and children in UK who eat more than five servings of vegetables and fish daily, over a seven year time frame. At first glance, it is obvious that women made up the largest proportion over the couse of the surveyed period.
Starting from the women, this group contributed 20% to the total proportion in 2011, remaining at this level till 2014, where a moderate rise to just short of 30% was recorded. This rising trend continued till 2016, where a peak value of 36% was obtained, before a slight drop off to 30% in 2017. A similar trend was observed for the men, starting off at 16%, climbing gradually to 24% in 2015, remaining at a similar level the following year and finishing just above 25% in 2017.
Turning to the children, this cohort contributed about 10% in the first year, rising slightly to just below 15% the following year and hovering around this level for the remaining years under review.
