The line graph shows how many people consumed more than 5 portions of vegetables and fish each day in the UK, from 2011 to 2017. The units are measured in percentages.
In terms of the overall consumption patterns, all types of consumers-namely females, males, and children-experienced a rising trend. Of particular note is the figure for women, who consumed the greatest amounts all the years.
In 2011, females stood at 20% which remained the same over the following three years, before increasing dramatically up to above 35% until 2016. However, it ended the timeframe at 30%, thanks to a significant decrease at 15%. In addition, males who are considered as the second most notable consumers started at approximately 17% in the initial year, and witnessed a gradual increase throughout the given period, and concluded at about 26% in 2017.
Children, on the other hand, were the consumers with a relatively smaller percentage, commencing the period with 10%. With consistent fluctuations over the years, it reached 15% in the finishing year (2017).
