The given bar chart illustrates the proportion of kids who learned to play four different types of musical instruments including guitar, piano, drum and violin between 2005, 2010 and 2015
Overall, it easily seemed that guitar was the most popular musical instrument at school, followed by piano, violin and drum. Furthermore, the percentage of children learning guitar and piano also exhibited an upward trend through the period.
To begin with, school children always prefer learning guitar over other musical instruments. In 2005, the percentage of students who played guitar was over 10% which increased by twofold 5 years later and reached a peak in 2015 at about 27%. Followed by piano, with nearly a number of children playing it in 2005. The space between guitar and piano was just 1% in 2005, nearly 3% in 2010 and around 2% in 2015.
In contrast, drum and violin still remain the same percentage through the mentioned years. The proportion of school children who learned to play violin was around 7% in 2005 and 2010. But there was a tiny amount of this rate decreased in 2015 making violin the musical type with the least amount of players. On the other hand, at the beginning, drum was the instrument that make up the smallest percentage between 2005 and 2010, just around 6%. However, the ranked reversed in 2015 and drum went up to 8%.
