Overall, it is obvious that there was an increase in the Piano, Drums and Guitar, while an opposite trend was seen in the Violin. In addition, the Piano generally had the highest figures throughout the period.
In 2005, the percentage of students who played the Piano commenced at over 10%, after which it saw a significant growth to about 20%, before ending the period at nearly 40%. Similarly, the figure for the Guitar rose sharply from just over 10% in 2005 to precisely 40% in 2015.
Under 10% school children in the beginning of the period played Drums, with a subsequent remaining stable and a final rocket to nearly 10% in the year 2015. A converse trend was seen in the figure for the Violin, which declined in a range from 9% to 7% between 2005 and 2010, before ending at 5% in 2015.
