Starting with Europe, employees in this continent were 1 year ahead of that in USA in both 25-35 years old and 35-45 years old categories during the period. In the workplace in Europe, average years in one job dwindled by one year for both 25-35 and 35-45 years olds, from 5 and 7 years, respectively, in 2005.
Moving to the data for the USA, it is obvious that the more mature age group has a longer career in one job, having two years more than the younger generation with 6 years in 1985, the duration declined by one year in 2005. The same trend experienced by 25-35 years old age category, resulting the decrease to less than 3 years in the end of the period.
