The bar chart illustrates the various methods of garbage disposal in Toronto, Madrid, Kuala Lumpur and Amman.
Overall, it could be seen that in all of these cities landfill and incineration are the most popular types of garbage disposal whereas compositing accounted for the lowest numbers.
As shown in the graph, in both Toronto and Amman, landfill is the most common method, accounting for approximately 74% and 48% respectively. Incineration is the next most popular method, with Toronto using it for about 10% of its waste disposal, while in Amman, it is almost 40%. Recycling and composting have similar percentages in both cities, each under 10%.
Moreover, in Madrid, landfill accounts for around 28% of waste disposal, whereas in Kuala Lumpur, it is half of that, at 15%. Incineration is the most used method in both Madrid and Kuala Lumpur, with about 40% and 55% respectively. Recycling is equally utilized in both cities, at around 21%, and composting is also under 10% in both cities, similar to the other two cities.
