Overall, it is clear from the chart that the expenditure of both types of electronic items increased significantly during five years. Another noticeable point is that, the sales of computers follow through throughout reported period, in contrast, phone sales remained constant first three years, then, increased dramatically next two years.
In 2011, $30 million were spent on computers which was triple more than the expenditure of smartphones ( $10 million). Similarly, this trend continued in 2012 and 2013 with increasing gradually of computer sales to approximately $35 million and $40 million, respectively, whereas smartphone sales remained stable at $10 million.
However, in 2014, smartphone sales experienced a sharp increase and reached to $30 million. At that moment, the sales of computer grew slightly and reached around $45 million. Moreover, this upward trend also continued during 2015, when the expenditure of computers and phones reached $50 million and $45 million, in turn.
