Overall, the average number of students in lower secondary school between age 13-16 was higher than average class size in primary school between age 5-10 in South Korea, Japan, Mexico and Iceland, while other three countries demonstrated opposite trend.
The typical class sizes in primary and lower secondary school in South Korea showed the highest numbers with almost 34 and 36, relatively. Meanwhile, Japan and Mexico had equal normal size in lower secondary school, with about 31. Although, class average class sizes for primary school were not the same, around 27 for Japan and almost 21 for Mexico.
The UK and Denmark recorded similar numbers, with the respective figures of approximately 23 and 21 for primary school and around 22 and 18 for lower secondary schools. Iceland relatively showed the smallest typical class sizes for both schools, 15 for primary and about 17 for lower secondary school. While world average size illustrated almost 26 for elementary school and almost 18 for middle school, which is higher than four countries in a given graph.
