The chart illustrates the weekly percentage of working hours by two genders in Australia.
It is clear that men and women mostly work 30-50 hours per week. Additionally, the weekly proportion of hours worked by women in groups 0-10 and 10-20 is lower than that of men.
The figure for female workers in two lowest working hour categories was higher than that of male employees. Specifically, in the 0-10 sectors, working hours of men accounted for only 5%, which is three times as much as that of women. In 10-20 category, the figures for male and female employees are 12% and 23% respectively.
In the next three sectors, this trend is reversed. Over 40% of men spent 30-50 hours on working, while the percentage of women made up 35%. In the 60-80 category, men recorded more than twice the percentage of women, with 30% and 18%, respectively.
