Overall, there was an increase in the number of travellers coming from 4 parts over the world, with the Chinese & Japanese tourist numbers witnessing the most dramatic rise in 2007 and the figure for Australia in 2008. In addition, the yearly revenue of four forms of businesses fell. However, tour guides, small vendors, and other services were still the majority of Xcountry’s income.
The number of tourists in Europe and the US&Canada started at over 200,000 people in 2007. However, the figures for those one declined sharply to about 100,000 and under 50,000 in 2008 respectively. Meanwhile, the China& Japan’s travellers who visited Xcountry in 2007 reached a peak at 300,000. One year later, it dropped to 100,000 people, which made them become the second country travelled to Xcountry much. Australia was the country that had lots of residents visiting with 25,000, though it was declined but it was still higher than the remains at the end of the period.
In 2007, hotel and resort earned 3,5 million dollars, followed by the restaurant, bar& souvenir shops and tour guides, small vendors, and other services with 2,4 million and 1,4 million dollars respectively. The yearly income for transportation & travel agent was the smallest (1,3). By 2008, the hotel&resort profits was went down sharply to hit a low at 0,3 million dollar. Simillar changes can be seen in the figures for restaurant, bar& souvenir shops and transportation & travel agent, which decreased to 1,2 million and 0,4 million dollars respectively. The most marginal profit was belonged to to tour fuides, small vendors and other services (1.1), which was only lesser than 1 year ago 0,3 million dollars.
