Overall , more and more adults started gaining extra weight over the given years. Being overweight and obese were really common among people in their adulthood, while having a dangerously most fat in the body was the least common.
By looking at the years , the first two decades did not see any noticeable rise, starting at about 46% in 1965 and reaching just below 50% 20 years later. By the end of the 20th century , the figure rose by 10 percentage points , at 60% . The following year, 2005, experienced an another significant increase, reaching 70% . Finally, in 2015, about 74% of all adults in a reported country suffered from extra weight.
The pie chart has four different categories for the adult population and one of the biggest percentages belonged to obesity, 34% , in comparison with 31% for overweight. Additionally, healthy individuals and those considered underweight made up 29% of the population, while the lowest percentage was for obese or dangerously overweight individuals, at just 6%.
