The bar chart shows the percentage of adults who are overweight or obese from 1965 to 2015, and the pie chart shows the proportion of adults’ body condition in 2015. Overall, the rise in the number of people who are too heavy was continuous from 1965 to 2015. In 2015, the obese and overweight were promoted to the highest level.
In the bar chart, the first significant increase occurred between 1985 and 1995, from around 50% to approximately 60%. In the next ten years since 1995, the percentage has risen similarly large. By 2015, nearly 80% of adults weighed too much. This trend continued up to the 21st century but in a slight way of rate.
The pie chart divides the adults’ body condition into four categories. From that, Obese’s share of adults was the biggest with over a third of the pie chart, compared to 31% for those classified as overweight. Although the lowest percentage was severely obese or dangerously 6%, the sum of people who were well-padded or obese proportioned over 70% of the pie chart. While the number of people who were healthy or underweight in 2015 was just under 30%.
