Overall, upward and downward trends were observed in the share of Internet usage for diverse activities during the period. Shopping was the most popular activity, while TV and learning were the elast common ones.
Looking at the data in more detail, while the proportion of shopping experienced a slight dip from 42% in 2007 to 35% in 2009, that of banking rose minimally from approximately 25% in 2007 till 30% in 2009. Similarly, the most dramatic increase was observed in TV from 5% in 2007 to about 15% in 2009.
Regarding to other activities, music and job seeking also increased over the span. Whereas the former figure grow noticeable from 20% in 2007 to 28% in 2009, the latter one faced a dramatic growth from 15% in 2007 to 22% in 2009. While a marginal rise was seen in the index of games from 10% in 2007 till 18% in 2009, learning faced a slight growth from 8% in the beginning to 12 in the final.
