The line graph illustrates the proportion of people in the UK using the Internet for different activities in 2007 and 2009.
Overall, at the beginning the biggest increase was the shopping activity, while the lowest rate was the TV activity. At the end, shopping activity increased slightly as well as it was at the beginning, however learning activity was the smallest. All seven activities rose significantly throughout the period.
In 2007, shopping was around 32% and increased significantly to 35% in 2009. Initially, banking activity was around 25% and reached 30% by having the second highest growth. Music activity showed a clear change from 20% to 28%. Also, job seeking climbed to 22% by starting at 15%.
Games, learning and TV activities also experienced an upward trend without fluctuations. Games were approximately 10% and rise gradually to 18%, while learning showed an increase from 8% to 12%. In contrast, TV activity jumped from 5% to 15%, respectively.
