The bar chart compares three different countries – UK, Japan and Germany – in terms of how many hours students in these countries spend on sleeping, studying and relaxing on a daily basis.
Overall, Japanese and German students spend the most their time on studying, whereas students in the UK spend the most time on sleeping. Additionally, Japanese students spend the least time relaxing.
In spending time on studying, Japan is the highest with around 13 hours a day, followed by Germany and the UK at 9 and 8 hours respectively.
With regards sleeping, students in the UK spend the most time at 8.5 hours a day. Germany is not far behind at around 8 hours , but students in Japan average at least one hour less sleep at 7 hours. While the UK and Germany both spend 7 hours a day on relaxing, Japanese children have only 4 hours.
