Overall, while Japanese students devoted the most time to studying, they spent the fewest hours on relaxing compared to other nations. It is also evident that students spent nearly the same amount of time on sleeping, studying and relaxing in the UK and Germany.
Regarding studying, around 13 hours were spent on it by Japanese students as opposed to 9 hours by German and 8 hours by British. The amount of time which was devoted on relaxing, however, was substantially lower in Japan, with roughly 4 hours spent. The gap between studying and relaxing hours was three times higher in Japan, which means the students are more focused on studying. The figures for Germany and the UK were the same, with about 7 hours used in both countries.
On the other hand, more time was spent on the remaining activities in the UK and Germany. People in these countries spent more time on sleeping approximately 8.5 hours and 8 hours respectively. Finally, nearly twice as much time was emoloyed on relaxing in these two mentioned nations compared to Japan, which accounted for 7 hours in the UK and Germany and about 4 hours in Japan.
