Overall the precipitation in 2000 is significantly lower than the precipitation in 1980. In 1980 the precipitation in these areas fluctuated with the highest amount occurring at around 300mm and the lowest at 150mm. While the amount decreased greatly through the year in 2000.
Regarding precipitation in 1980, In January the precipitation in this area was slightly above 250mm. It peaked in March at roughly 300mm, then experienced a drastic drop to around 150mm in July, before steadily increasing back to values of 250mm at the end of the year.
Conversely, in 2000, it began at about 51mm and had a significant drop to 48mm in February where it would then further decrease to 47mm and stay the same for two months. Following that it will then return to the original point of 51mm and reach the highest level of precipitation of 53mm in July and August and fluctuate between 49mm and 52mm for the following months.
