The bar chart provides data on the percentage of generated energy from renewable sources in four countries – Australia, Germany, Norway, and Iceland – in the years 2000, 2004, and 2007.
Overall, the proportion of renewable energy in Germany and Norway rose markedly during the given period, whereas there was a brief fluctution in the figures for Australia and Iceland. Notably, Norway and Iceland more relied on renewable energy than the other countries throughout the period.
According to upward trends, Norway had the highest proportion of renewable energy, with roughly 60%, and this figure saw gradual growth, reaching a peak of nearly 80% in 2007. Germany also followed a similar trend. The percentage of renewable energy increased from about 10% in 2000 to almost 20% in 2007 in that country.
Turning to fluctuating trends, the proportion of the renewable energy in Iceland was more than half of the total in 2000. After a slight increase in 2004, the figure decreased approximately by 5% in the final year. Similarly, the percentage of renewable energy in the total supply, in Australia, made up roughly 2% in 2000. Before dropping its initial level in 2007, there was a rise of 2% in 2004.
