The given bar graph illustrates the proportion of employees with the male and female candle bars assigned to different departments of a major university in the year 2012.
In general, the highest percentage of male staff was towards the majority of departments compared to the female proportion. Noticeably, the education department contained females which were more than double and more pervasive, while the engineering faculty involved more males than women.
To commence, out of seven departments, four departments (i.e. Biochemistry, Law, Engineering, Business Administration, and Science) had a dominant percentage of male staff, while only three had high women involvement, averaging around 50%. Surprisingly, almost every faculty had double the percentage of males than that of females.
On the other hand, three categories had the highest female workers (i.e. Arts (almost 60%), Education (around 80%), and Medicine (around 50%)). Remarkably, Education had the highest margin in male and female proportion, where the female was around 80% and men were only around 20%, which was almost triple compared to the male percentage.
