overall, Asia and Europe showed fluctuation, while rest of the world experienced an upward trend throughout the period. Although, rest of the world initially had a lowest rate, it outraced Europe at the end of the period.
in 1840, Asia accounted for the largest proportion of manifacturing production at 50%, while Europe represented 40%. However, by 1880 Europe had overtaken Asia, and in 1920 it reached a peak of 50%, whereas Asia fell dramatically to just 20%.
After 1920, Europe dropped sharply from 50% to approximately 28% in 2000. In cantrast, Asia experienced significant growth during the next decade. It rose to approximately 25% in 1960, then increased by around 44% at the end of the period, outracing the rate of Eorope and the rest of the world. Meanwhile, the rest of the world had some fluctuation by increase of about 38% in 1960, and 35% at the end of the period.
