At first glance, Japan has a much higher number of hospital beds compared with the other countries that may share similar numbers.
The data shows that Japan has the highest number of hospital beds (14). Germany comes in second place with a total of 8 thousand hospital beds. Below these two countries, there are the Netherlands, Australia, and United Kingdoms, which have approximately 4.5, 4, and 3.5 hospital bed respectively per thousand of their populations, while Canada, Spain, and United States stay at the bottom of the list with similar numbers of 3.5 roughly.
In addition, US government spent the highest amount of money ($6,719) than the Japanese and Netherlands governments which only spent $2,581 and $3,481 respectively. However, the life expectancy of their citizens is the opposite; the table shows that Japan has the highest life expectancy (83) than the Netherlands (80) and US (78).
