In general, residents used both overseas and local websites dominated the mix in both nations, albeit to varying degrees. However, the percentage of people in two countries using overseas websites only was nowhere as dramatic. Another illustrative point is that, the greatest reason of using e-commerce was its affordable prices.
Starting with the pie chart, both Australians and New Zealanders utilizing overseas and local websites at the same time accounted for the superb proportions of 65% and 50% respectively. Conversely, the figures for overseas websites users was by far the lowest in both countries, constituting the respective proportions of 10% and 7%. Finally, there is a marked discrepancy between Australian and New Zealand customers on using local websites, while former made up 25%, the latter surpassed with 18% disparity of 43%.
Turning to the reasons why customers prefer online shopping to stores, affordable costs of e-shopping became a leading reason with both Australian and New Zealand buyers representing comparable 55% and 51% respectively. It was distantly followed by convenience which constituted the respective figures of 28% and 36%. Talking about the better range of products, from both countries 15% and 11% of buyers see it as a main cause.
