The bar chart illustrates the changes in the number of people recruited in five types of work on a particular region of Australia between 2001 and 2008.
As can be seen from the bar chart, the greatest number of people was employed in sales-related jobs, whereas, farming involved lower employment rate.
In 2001, slightly less than 160,000 people were working in sales field, by 2008, the number has risen by almost 5,000, to just over 160,000. Second popular domain, despite being significantly lower than sales, was computing, held nearly 60,000 workers in 2001, but, in 2008, increased steeply to 80,000.
Other fields such as accounting and nursing we’re less preferred. Former recruited little more than 60,000 employees in 2001. After a couple of years, number declined under 60,000. Latter hosted, in 2001, approximately 55,000 employed people, whilst, employment rate reached 60,000 in 2008. Number of people working in farming sector where well above 20,000, in 2001, however, in 2008, it reached a low of approximately 19,000.
