The bar chart indicates the change between the home owners and renters who were aged 25-34 in the UK. Also, it is based on the data since 2004 to 2014.
Generally, while the proportion of the house owners were declining, the percentages of house renters were increasing during the eleven-year period.
Over the 50 percent of the people who aged 25-34 were owner-occupied between 2004 and 2009. After that, there was a sharp fall in terms of households approximately higher than 5% in 2010. This trend had continued gradually by 2014. In 2014, however, the rate of the home owners aged 25-34 was just under about 40%.
The percentage of the renters raised slowly in the first five years of the period. Although the ratio of the renters who were young adults remained unchanged in some years, such as 2005-2006 and 2011-2012, there was an increasing trend about only over the 25%, in general.
Moreover, the number of home owners and renters were close themselves in 2011 and 2012. The difference between them was roughly less than 5%.
