The bar chart compares the ages of Australian women begetting their first child in three years: 1966, 1986, and 2006. Overall, females mostly gave their first childbirth in their middle-ages.Moreover, when they started aging, the rate of their first childbirth was considerably low compared to younger ages.
Focusing on the increases first, the percentage of women aged 30 and over bearing their first child rose significantly. Females giving first childbirth at 30-34 increased noticeably from over 10% in 1966 to almost 50% in 2006. Then, those aged 35 and above grew dramatically from around 10% in 1966 to 30% in 2006. Finally, the oldest age group improved slightly, compared to other age brackets, starting with approximately 1%, and ending with around 3%.
On the other hand, the youngest age brackets giving their first childbirth decreased sharply. The proportion of females aged 19 and below dropped considerably from over 30 % to just around 10%. Then, women whose ages were around 20 and 24 experienced the same pattern as those aged 19.Their percentage was above 60%—the highest one in the beginning ,however, after which it started falling and ended at 30%.Ultimately, the remaining age of the group initially improved from approximately 40% in 1966 to 50% in 1986, but in the final year, it came back to his previous position.
