The bar charts illustrate the proportion of social networking channels that Canadians accessed in 2014 and 2015. The data were indicated as percentages.
Overall, there were corresponding rises and falls within the one-year period. In one site, 36% of users in 2014 dropped considerably to 28% in 2015, maintaining the highest representation among the others. Meanwhile, 23% of Canadians using two sites rose slightly to 24% in the one-year period. Similarly, Canadian users accessing three sites increased from 12% in 2014 to 16% in 2015. The growth of users on four sites only exhibited a slight rise by 3% between 2014 and 2015, whereas only Canadians using five sites displayed a slow increase by 2% from 2014 to 2015, remaining the lowest compared to the others.
For the no sites category, a slight decline was reported from 22% to 21% between 2014 and 2015.
It can be understood that despite the decrease, social network users in Canada were more likely to use one site, followed by two sites, and three sites, and so on. However, the number of users was relatively low as the proportion of sites to access social networks varied.
