The bar chart details information concerning the number of social media platforms and their respective percentages of users from Canada in 2014 and 2015.
Overall, it is evident that in both 2014 and 2015, the largest proportion of people used only one platform, whereas the percentages of Canadians who used more than four networks were the lowest. Nevertheless, only the figures for those using more than single social networking site increased, while the rest declined.
In 2014, 36% of Canadian citizens utilised only one type of social media to interact with the world, which was three times the percentage of people who used three different sites. However, this value experienced a significant drop of 8% in the following year. Likewise, the number of non-social media users also decreased by a percent.
By contrast, the percentages of people who engage in more than one networking platform showed an average rise of roughly 3%, after a year, with the most notable increase in the figure of three-platforms users, from 12% to 16% in 2015.
