The two line graphs presents changes in percentage of families with electrical appliances as well as average house work time for each household every week in a certain country from 1920 to 2019.
Overall, the number of households with electrical appliances increased in the 99 given years, while amount of time for housework went down accordingly. Washing machines were the most popular appliances in 1920 with 40% users and this number went up to 60% in the following 40 years before dropped back to 55% in 1980. Within the last given 39 years, it soared to its top of 65%. Whilst fridges had only 2% users in 1920, it witnessed a sharp increase 60 years latter and ultimately balanced around 100%. Vacuum cleaner with 30% users ranked the second at the beginning and riseed consistanty, however was surpassed by fridge in 1940. The total percentage finally fell on 100%.
The widely use of electrical appliances has shortened the time spending on house work effectively. As is shown in the second paragraph, data decreased year by year with the significant shrink between 1920 and 1960 from 50 to 20 hours and a slighter drop in the following 59 years to 10 hours.
