Overall, we can see that the age of workers changed between 2015 and 2020. In 2015 the workforce was more balanced. However, in 2020, there were many more younger workers and fewer older workers.
In 2015, the biggest age groups were 21-30 years old and over 50 years old . By 2020, the group of 21-30 years old grew significantly to 33%. This became the biggest group on the chart. At the same time, the youngest group (under 21) was the smallest in both years. It dropped slightly from 14% to 12%.
There were also big changes in older age groups. The group of 41-50 years old increased from 19% in 2015 to 28% in 2020. In contrast, the percentage of workers over 50 fell from 23% to 16%. Finally, the 31-40 age group saw the biggest drop, decreasing from 21% to only 11% in 2020.
