The bar graph provides information about the percentage of school going children who participated in various type of sports activities after school lessons in 2010.
In general it is evident from the graph that Swimming and Football were most well- known type of activities for boys while girls were most enrolled in Netball. In addition, Basketball remained least preferred kind of sport by both gender.
A closer examination shows that Football was most preferred kind of physical activity for school boys in which 20% of younger participated in it. Conversely , girls were least preferred to this sport than boys accounted for mere 4% in 2010. Surprisingly, reverse trend was noticed in terms of Netball, in which girls had higher percentage rate as compared to boys which stood at 18% females and only 2% of males participated.
Furthermore ,there was negligible difference observed in the proportion of both gender who enrolled in Swimming , recorded at 14% boys and 16% girls respectively. It is noticeable that almost identical percentage of boys and girls were participated in the Basketball competition at over 6%. Lastly, the youngsters who were not taken part in any sport at accounted for 2% of males and percentage became almost double in terms of girls.
