The given bar graph compares the monetary allocation of seven different countries’ citizens on international tourism between 2011 and 2012. Overall, it is salient that tourism in most countries received more money, with the exception of a decline in Germany and France and the stability of Canada. Additionally, Germany had been the top.leader among all countries, however, due to its decline, this nation was surpassed by China in the end.
Regarding increasing categories, around 72 billion dollars were spent on tourism by Chinese residents in 2011 before surging by approximately 29 billion, reaching slightly over 100 billion dollars in 2012. This significant increase enabled China’s tourism to surpass other nations in the same period. Following closely behind it was the US and the UK with a marginal rise, ranging from roughly 48 to 80 billion dollars during the surveyed period. Similarly but to a larger extent, the monetary allocation on Russian Federation’s tourism increased from approximately 30 to 40 billion dollars ultimately.
Concerning the remaining countries, in 2011, Germany exhibited the most significant amount of money spent on tourism with about 82 billion dollars. Although this country only recorded a slight decline in 2012, decreasing to 81 billion dollars, its top position was replaced by China. Moreover, France exhibited a more minimal decrease, fluctuating at around 39 billion dollars whereas Canadian citizens spent the same amount of money on tourism in both surveyed years with approximately 19 billion dollars.
