Overall, there are three kinds of car ownership ( no car, one car, two car). In addition, the percentage of no car ownership was the highest until 2001, when it stayed at the same position as in the 1991.
Generally, none of the all three types of car ownership exceeded 50% throughout all periods of time. The percentage of no car ownership in 1971 comprised roughly 49%. In addition, households with no car was the most common in three decades since 1971. Nonetheless, statistics had changed, and in 2001 the majority of households had at least with one car, and the percentage of the one car ownership exceeded 40% and was about 43%. Moreover, the lowest rate of households with one car was approximately 18% in 1991. In comparison with the proportion of no car ownership in all timeframes, percentage of households with one car in 2001 inferior solely to the rate of households with no car in 1971.
