The bar graph compares the five different levels of post-school qualifications held by the various population of males and females in 1999.
Overall, it can be clearly seen that the skilled vocational diploma was held maximum by males.
To begin with, the number of males holding skilled vocational diplomas rose from around 90% to 90.1% in 1999. However, the number of males with undergraduate diplomas showed a moderate growth below 40% in the same year in Australia. Moreover, almost 40% of bachelor’s degree males was recorded in this graph as against 70% post-graduate diploma males in Australia. Master’s degree males in the same country hovered between 50% and 60% during the given year.
In addition, the number of females were the highest on undergraduate diplomas than the other after-school qualifications. In contrast, the skilled vocational diploma females hold the least proportion of post-school qualifications at just 10% in 1999. Bachelor’s degree and post-graduate diploma females hold around 30%. In this factor, post-graduate diploma females were fewer than that of bachelor’s degree. There was a moderate increase in females who were master’s degree in that year.
